Rowing and Paddle boats

Markeaton Willows is based on the main lake at Markeaton Park and offers a variety of boats for hire to suit all age groups, including rowing boats, pedaloes and canoes. So come along and enjoy the picturesque setting aboard one of our boats, a great way to relax and have fun.

Fishing

The lake is well stocked with a wide range of coarse fish including many Carp that are 20lb plus in weight!

Day tickets are available, priced at:
Adult: £4.60 per rod, per day.
Child: £2.30 per rod, per day.

Groups & Special Occasions

If you have an upcoming special occasion and want to mark it with something a little different, why not try boating? We will cater for any special requirements for both small and larger groups to make your trip enjoyable.

Why not try something different for your party and pre-book our boats for your birthday. We offer boat decoration and party bags on request. You can pre-book your boat by calling or emailing us with details of your group size.

School trips

Surrounded by a host of different plants and trees and offering a vast array of wildlife our boat trips can not only be fun but also educational, perfect for an engaging and interactive school trip. Please contact us for details.

Safety: We have life jackets for children and there will always be a First Aid trained Life Saver on duty.
